Our Logistic Advantage
Operating a profitable business is key to sustainability. One particular cost factor that can easily be overlooked is your distribution chain. Where do your graphic shipments originate? What are shipping costs to all your locations? What type of environmental impact are your shipments having? These are questions we asked in developing our logistics advantage study. Our central U.S. facility puts us closer to our client’s locations, reduces shipping costs, cuts shipping time and reduces your environmental impact.
Using several sources, we identified the Top 20 US markets based on population. We then calculated the amount of total miles it took to make one non-specific delivery from four different starting points to one location in each of the Top 20 markets. Our starting points were New York City, Los Angeles, CA, Portland, OR and Point Imaging (Chicagoland/Hobart, IN). We calculated total miles, gallons of diesel burned and how many pounds of carbon are being emitted into the air. In addition to the environmental study, we also determined that there was a significant cost reducing in shipping. There is a clear and beneficial advantage to using Point Imaging for your nationally distributed graphic programs. The chart below highlights our findings.
